Trimming

Rhinestone trim and chain let you follow an edge — a neckline, hem, sleeve or waistband — with a continuous line of stones instead of setting them one at a time. It is the fastest way to finish a garment edge professionally.
Trims are supplied by the piece or by length, so you can buy the amount your project needs rather than a full roll. Stones are set in a metal or cup setting, which keeps the line even and holds each stone in position under movement.
Where trim works best

Necklines and straps — a single row of chain reads as a fine jewellery line
Hems and cuffs — use a heavier cup chain for weight and presence
Waistlines and belts — trim over a grosgrain or leather base holds its shape
Veils and accessories — light chain or single-line trim for edges that must stay soft

Attach by hand with small stitches through the setting links, or by machine with a wide zigzag at low speed. If you are choosing between trim and individual stones, see hotfix rhinestones for area coverage and sew-on stones for scattered placement.
